Agra Agra is located in central north India and is notably most famous for being the home of the Taj Mahal which was built by the great Shah Jahaan to symbolise his undying love for his wife Mumtaaz. As well as the Taj Mahal Agra also has a few more world heritage sites that attracts many visitors. The Agra Fort was built by Akbar in 1565 and is known as Lal Quila (red fort) by the Indians because of its red appearance. Fatehpur Sikri is also a world heritage site and was also built by the Emperor Akbar. There are so many other historical attractions in Agra that each have their own story to tell.
