Calella

Situated on the Maresme Coast of Calalonia, this modern resort extends along a 3 km beach which surrounds are sprinkled by sharp cliffs carved out by the sea. But Calella is also a dynamic city improved by private companies that day by day are inverting money in tourism development, making it one of the most important sun & beach destinations within Europe. In the beach you can find a lot of activities as kayaks, windsurf, sailing, beach volley, football, aerobics, a mini club for children, the beach library, and all along the summer many cultural events are organised such as artisans markets, concerts, fiestas. Exploring the city we can find interesting gothic style buildings as La Casa dels Salvadors (C. XVI) or Casa Sivilla (C. XVI). Is also interesting the promenade known as the Passeig de Manuel Puigvert with its hundred-year-old plantain trees.
