Hiroshima Founded on the Ota River delta Hiroshima is divided by the seven river mouths into a city that divides into six islands. Famed for being the target of the first atomic bomb dropped on a populated area this makes this city a popular attraction with tourists. Although most of the city required reconstruction, there is still an area left called “Peace City'' which illustrates the effects of the atomic bomb. Hiroshima is a easy place to get around with an extensive tram network and there is certainly plenty of places to see whether it be the effects of the atomic bomb in “peace city” , the gardens and castles and the chance to enjoy some fine Japanese cuisine.
