Jaipur Jaipur, along with Delhi and Agra forms the golden triangle of tourism. Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan which has a very hot climate, the summer months see temperatures soar to 45 degrees Celsius so if you are not accustomed to scorching heat the best time to visit Jaipur would be between September and March when the climate is cooler. Jaipur is also known as the pink city because the majority of the buildings were painted red in the past as red is an auspicious colour. Being one of the great tourist destinations Jaipur has quite a few interesting attractions like the Amber Fort which has two palaces where the king used to stay and there is also a Temple of 'Kaali' within the fort. Jaigarh Fort is famous for holding the world's largest canon. Jaipur also has many festivals throughout the year and visitors should observe at least one of the festivals, where there will be traditional Rajasthani dancing, singing and delicious local food.
