Nimes

Nimes is a not too big city but rich in places to visit thanks to it still keeps several remains of Roman Empire such as the Amphitheatre or the Maison Carrée a temple built as part of the forum. During the Middle Age Nimes was also important due to wool and silk industry. The city also keeps interesting buildings from 17th and 18th centuries bordering its maze of pedestrian streets and squares as the famous Market Square, perfect to stop for a pastis or a meal during the stroll. Numerous museums such as the Archeological Museum or le Carre d'Art complete the cultural offer.
