Poznan

The city of Poznan is located in the Wielkopolskie region of Poland.
Poznan is an important town in Poland's history, it was the 1st capital of Poland and many regard it as the birthplace of the Polish nation. It has developed into an exciting city, with good and cheap transportation facilities. For you train fanatics, Poznan is the home of Europe's last surviving steam-hauled passenger service. Stary Rynek (the old town square) is a great place to watch the world go by, the Old Town Hall is the centrepiece of the Rynek and houses the Historical Museum of Poznan. The city has many more museums all with very low admission prices, travel out of Poznan and you'll come across the Citadel Park (fortress) and Lake Malta.
