Netherlands

The Netherlands (also inaccurately called Holland) is located in Western Europe. Much of the land is flat and lies below sea level. Wherever you go in The Netherlands you will always encounter water, the country is interwoven with canals and dykes, and the beach is never far away. It is one of the most densely populated countries in the world, approximately 90% of its population live in the cities. Those of interest include Amsterdam the capital and largest city, The Hague, the seat of the government, and Rotterdam its port city, the second largest in the world. Away from the cities, the countryside is a land of windmills and tulips and bike is a great way to enjoy these treats.
