Shangai

Shanghai is one of the most developed and densely populated cities in China, with a population of 16 million people. A vast and fascinating city, Shanghai has much to offer every type of visitor, combining elements of the East and West to make it truly unique and culturally rich. Parts of the city are extremely modern, while in other areas of the city, 1930's buildings are reminiscent of an old New York or Chicago. There is much to see and do in Shanghai depending on the era in which you are interested. To see Imperial China, visit the Yuyuan Gardens, which is a traditional Ming style Chinese garden. Alternatively, visit the Bund to see 1930's Shanghai, or cross the river to Pudong to view the awesome 21st century skyscrapers.
