Ubud Ubud is a town in central Bali, Indonesia. It is set in a spectacular hillside setting surrounded by terraced rice paddies and small villages. Ubud is the island's cultural centre, an oasis of art, music and dance, and tourists can enjoy nightly dance & shadow puppet performances for a small fee. Must see attractions include the Museum Puri Lukisan, Monkey Forest and the Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave). To see the temples in the area you'll need some form of transport, the easiest and cheapest way is to join a tour or charter (and bargain for) a bemo/taxi. Ubad Market is lined with stalls selling everything a tourist could possibly want!
