Umbria The Italian central region of Umbria has an attractive diversity of landscapes: mountains, rivers, lakes, valleys and waterfalls compose an amazing frame. The Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance style buildings have also lots of important examples in the region. Umbria houses interesting museums such as the National Gallery of Umbria. Perugia is the capital of Umbria and a vibrant city with a university atmosphere, lots of places to visit and things to do. Other important cities of the region are Assisi, Gubbio, Spoleto or Todi.
